Google Meet hardware vs Zoom Rooms: license cost compared

Compare room-license reference costs, separate user subscriptions and hardware costs, and calculate your own annual totals.

How each license works

A dedicated meeting room needs more than employee accounts. Google Meet hardware requires a room hardware license alongside Google Workspace. Zoom Rooms has a separate room subscription. Compare the room licenses separately from email, user video plans, phones and hardware.

What Zoom Rooms lists at

The comparison on this site uses $41.58 per room per month billed annually, approximately $499 per room per year. Actual contracts, promotions, taxes and renewals can differ. Use your invoice or renewal quote when comparing an existing deployment.

What a Meet hardware license costs

Meetpro's confirmed price is $250 per room per year. At those reference rates, the room-license-only difference is approximately $249 a year for one room, or $1,245 for five rooms. This is not a promise of total savings: migration, equipment and service costs are additional.

What the license does not include

Room hardware, displays, mounts, cabling, installation, employee Workspace subscriptions and support packages are separate unless a written quote includes them. Existing bundle prices are shown as listed; ask for an itemized proposal rather than reconstructing a bundle from individual reference prices.

Run the numbers for your rooms

Enter your actual room count and current costs in the [room cost calculator](/tools/room-cost-calculator). Avoid counting a room subscription again as a user video subscription. Compare the ongoing annual cost and one-time transition cost separately, then review [Room-Ready Pack](/offers/room-ready-pack) options.
